WHAT IS PROJECT-BASED LEARNING?

Project-Based Learning (PBL) is a way of learning by exploring real-world problems and working towards a solution. Students will ask big questions, make decisions, work with others, and create something meaningful by the end.

This resource provides a 35 page step by step guide /tempalte to completing a project. Beginning with brainstorming and choosing a real-world issue to researching, developing, creating and testing a solution, each step of the process is detailed for your students to follow.

Teacher guidelines and student guidelines are included explaining the process.

The working can be done on the worksheets provided or completed in their own student workbook using these pages as a guide for your students to follow. You can choose which works best.

The suggested year group is Year 7-8 (10-13 years old). The timeline for this project is 4 weeks but you can follow the steps and make the project suit whatever your timeframe is. There is a lined and un-lined version included.

If you are looking for suggestions for larger real-world issues to look into you can check out my Climate Change resources – specifically the Scenario Cards.
