Are My Thoughts Worth Listening to?

Perfect for children aged 5–9, this engaging picture book helps young readers recognise and challenge negative self-talk in a way that is simple, practical, and empowering.
When overwhelming thoughts take hold, a young child discovers a clever strategy: turning those thoughts into a character they can question, challenge, and talk back to. As confidence grows, the thoughts begin to lose their power.
With Becky Overeem’s warm, reassuring voice and Sarah Trolle’s vibrant illustrations, this is a standout resource for homes, classrooms, and counselling settings.
An essential addition for anyone supporting children to build confidence, resilience, and a healthier relationship with their inner voice.

I worry. I always have. Recently, nothing is helping me stop worrying. I can't concentrate. My tummy feels like there are lions fighting in it. My head feels like it is full of loud, buzzing bees. My heart beats fast. My hands get sweaty. What can I do?
I'll start by asking, is this worry worth worrying about?
If you have lots of worries like me, the questions and steps in this story can help you work through your worries too. We got this!
This story is about a young person who is feeling overwhelmed by a growing number of worries, both big and small. This young person goes through some steps to sort out their worries and the feelings that are attached to them. Depending on the age of your child, these are steps that you can sit and do with your own child or they can do by themselves.
